As a seasoned Lifestyle Portrait Photographer I tend to see “between the lines,” to feel the truth underneath the surface, and to hold moments of tension to discover their beauty. I appreciate the metaphor photography reveals about life and the rich ways God works through our pain to reveal truth, beauty, and love in their midst.
In 2006 I started my photography business after being flat out miserable at my desk job. Apparently I was not created to sit behind a desk all day, and my new husband (bless his heart) saw that and encouraged me to get out of it and go get paid to take great photos. He believed I could even before I did.
A year later I began teaching the technical side of photography at Tuttle Cameras in Long Beach, California. I loved crafting classes and 1-on-1 sessions that taught people how to understand the numbers side of photography through metaphor and visualization.
In 2015 I had an opportunity to further explore my own creativity through at artist residency at Elsewhere Studios and began exploring additional art mediums, incorporating my photography, and discovering a love for photo transfer processes as well as vivid watercolor abstract painting. Out of this discovered passion she began creating opportunities for people to explore their own creativity through workshops.
