Over 6-years ago I photographed Philip and Lidia getting married. They had a beautiful wedding to match their relationship--filled with laughter, beauty, and a wonderful time with friends and family.
Fast forward to this fall, and I received a message from Philip: they were expecting. And unknown to Lidia, he had booked a maternity session for her while they were in town over Christmas. What a delight to watch as she drove up to the session, Philip and I waiting for her to arrive. She rolled down the window, beautiful smile on her face, and said, "Is that Christine Lee Smith?" We spent their session taking photos of the three of them and catching up from the past several years. Such a joy to see these two doing so well, and growing into a beautiful family! Congrats you two!

One of my favorite things about having been a wedding photographer is all the times I get to see my favorite clients come back again when they get pregnant, and when they have their first child, then when they add to the pack and want a family session. It's always special to be a part of their lives in this way, capturing these precious moments for them to remember for years to come. When I got the "call" from Sarah & Mike I was thrilled! We shot their maternity session at one of my favorite spots, Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange County. I got to catch up with them and meet their new fuzzy buddy Sprocket (adorable!). And I don't only photograph past clients - I love meeting new couples and families, too. If you're interested it's not too late to schedule a fall family session. It's a great time of year to get a new photograph of the whole bunch (whether it's 2 or 22 of you).
