Today I found this quote over at Abby of the Arts, and loved it instantly: “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” I've always had a love for questions - particularly difficult or seemingly unanswerable questions, as long as they weren't apart of my life. :) But now I'm living in the middle of some very challenging and daunting questions: like how to love someone without being in relationship with them, how to live a calling that is still unfolding, how to thrive through the patterns that are embedded in my being that I wish weren't there. Reading this today reminded my soul that questions themselves are good. It reminded me why I'm an artist: it's a place for unanswered questions to exist and abide in all their beauty.
What questions are you living in the middle of today?
